Track 1950s.
We were unaware of this box's existence. After much internet search, we
found the following from a former seller of one. The words expressed are
theirs "Very rare and almost impossible to find 5th Avenue candy bar box
from BEFORE 5th Avenue was owned by Hershey. Originally a product of
Ludens. Any documentation about the history of 5th Avenue candy bar before
1962 is strangely absent making this box with the Ludens name all the more
rare. I have been collecting candy items and written about candy for over
40 years and this is only the second one I have seen."
