For some reason, Disney just hasn't released many versions of Pinocchio as a Donkey from the Pleasure Island sequence. No statues, no dolls, no toy figures. As a wee child, this scene scared the wits out of me! It's still one of my favorites to date. In 1992, Disney made a brief departure from this policy and authorized the production of Pinocchio in mid-donky form - with long ears and tail. And they could not ever do better than allowing it to be rendered by the John R. Wright team. Since then, there
has been other 'Donkey Pinocchios" but this is the very first one!
