Before action figures of super heroes were popular staples at comic book
stores and other novelty retailers (all the way back to 1991), the Randy
Bowen statue of Batman sitting on top of a gargoyle was released through
the direct market. To us, this was the beginning of the wave of statues
dedicated to super heroes and the like. This listing is for a bust of
Captain America - themed to look as he did during Marvel's Silver Age, the
1960's. The statue was designed by John Cassaday. Sculpt and paints are by
Tony Cipriano. It was limited to 1,400 pieces.
