Mattel 12" 1978 Cheryl Ladd Doll Charlie's Angels MIB

Listing is for a Mattel 12" 1978 Cheryl Ladd Doll Charlie's Angels MIB. By 1978, Mego Corp had already released their Jacklyn Smith doll - based upon her popularity in the uber hot Charlie's Angel program. With Farrah Fawcett no longer on the program, that left two main characters up for grabs - and Mattel didn't miss the opportunity. Clearly, they decided to save some licensing fees by using the actress' names - not their character names - and no actual reference to the show! They must have been hoping to get the rights for Jacklyn Smith - but ended up opting to use "Kitty O'Neal" a then very famous stuntwoman.
