Included are cartoon characters, robots, cars, buses and motorcycles,
airplanes, boats, and other vehicles and characters. Volume 1 produced by
Teruhisa Kitahara, Shinko Music Pub. Co. Ltd., Tokyo, 1983. Where the
captioned photographs are all in English, there is also text which is
written exclusively in Japanese. The terse captions include date, name,
maker when known, and dimensions. Makers include Kono Kakuzo, Kurmochi,
Yoshiya, Toply, Fukuda, Kanto Toy, Nomura, Marusan, Masudaya, Yonezawa,
Mitsuhashi, Tomiyama, Nihon Boeki, Sanesu, Momya, Kokyu Shokai, Bandai,
and many others. A collector's item in itself, this rare out-of-print book
belongs in the permanent reference library of the serious collector,
dealer, or historian of vintage tin toys. Measures roughly 7.5" x 10.4".
